      Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 launched; priced at Rs. 1.18 lakh

      Bajaj Auto, the homegrown automaker, has finally introduced the much-anticipated Pulsar RS 200 in the Indian market. In Pulsar RS 200, the RS stands for 'Racing Sport'. The affordable sports bike is offered in two variants- with and without ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).The regular variant is priced at Rs. 1.18 lakh, while the ABS-equipped variant costs Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

      The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is powered by a 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing 24.4PS of power at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 18.6Nm at 8,000rpm. This engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The bike is claimed to hit a top speed of 141kmph.

      Despite being based on the Pulsar 200 NS, the new RS 200 gets an all-new design. The front of the bike has a full fairing with a windscreen, twin projector headlamps with LED pilot lamps and LED turn indicators. It comes with a high raised clip-in handlebar that suits the seating position, offering comfortable driving stance. The muscular fuel tank gets a fuel carrying capacity of 12 litres. The rear-end of the bike is equipped with a twin-pod LED tail lights.

      The Pulsar RS 200 sports bike is 2,060mm long, 750mm wide and 1,160mm tall, and it comes with a high ground clearance of 165mm. Bookings for the bike have already commenced at a token amount of Rs. 5,000, while the deliveries being promised from April, 2015.
