Bajaj Auto has finally launched the new 'Adventure Sport' Pulsar range in the Indian two wheeler market. The company rolled out two all-new bikes- the AS 150 and the AS 200 under its Adventure Sport series. While the AS150 is priced at Rs. 79,000, the AS200 is tagged at Rs. 91,550. Prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi. With AS150, the homegrown automaker targets the young enthusiasts looking for an affordable Adventure sport bike. Buyers also have an option of buying a little expensive and more powerful AS200.
The Pulsar AS200 is based on the naked 200NS, and it will be the company's global product to be launched in several international markets. Most of the essential features like rear section, swing arm, seats and fuel tank are inspired from the naked sibling. It is equipped with a semi-fairing with large headlamps and projectors. It is powered by the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the RS200 and NS200. Paired to a six-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of producing 24bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
Like the AS200, the AS150 is based on a new perimeter frame that will also spawn the new 150NS. It is powered by a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 16.8bhp of power at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 13Nm at 7,500rpm. This engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox. The bike features quarter fairing and projector headlamp unit, and part-analogue-part digital instrument panel, split seats, etc.
