Indian bike-maker Bajaj had flagged off the first Pulsar generation more than a decade ago. Since then, the Pulsar line has been popular pick especially among the youth in the country. Over the years, the Pulsar brand has evolved to be at its best form today. Spy pictures of Pulsar 200SS featuring a fully faired pattern with new set of headlamps on the front was seen on numerous occasion in the past. The bike was also spotted on a number of occasion undergoing tests across the country. A recent picture by source shows production version of the bike making way to the dealership outlets in the country.
The much anticipated 200SS bike is stated to be based on the 200NS platform but features a fully faired pattern with new headlamps in the front much like the 220F. The 200SS is said to be powered by a 200cc engine that generates about 25 PS of power with 20 Nm of peak torque output. The powerful engine is expected to be mated to a six speed gearbox. Based on spy images, it is believed that the bike may get ABS technology and a digital console with analogue set to the left side, and a complete digital display being positioned to the right. The seats appear to be wider for maximum comfort and good positioning. The bike has received telescopic forks for the front, whereas the rear tyre has received a mono-suspension. The boomerang shaped tail light is also something to look out for. Details on the pricing aspect and launch date shall only be known post an official announcement made by the company in this regard. Detailed specifications and pricing for the 200 SS has not been revealed for now, the details are expected to be revealed post an official launch by the Indian bike-maker.
