The much awaited Bajaj Avenger Street and Cruise models is finally set for launch on 27th October, 2015. The bikes have got a new makeover that renders it a complete new look than the older generation that has been plying on roads for nearly a decade now. Apart from these two trims, the company has also been working on a new 150cc model that may be launched sometime later.
The Street and Cruise Avenger models shall continue to be powered by the existing 219.89cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled unit with oil cooler engine that effectively generates about 19.03bhp of power at 8,400rpm and 17.5nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The engine could possibly be slightly tweaked to deliver improved mileage figures. The pricing aspect and detailed technical information may be known at a later date. However, interested customers may expect a marginal hike in price over the current model in the country.
In terms of upgrades, apart from the Cruise sticker on the panel, the bike shall get a chrome badge on the fuel tank, tall windshield, pillion backrest and chrome bits. The Street on the other hand gets matte-black paint job that replaces the glossy finish. The Street also gets a new set of alloys that offers it a raw and stylish appeal. The pricing and other feature details shall be known at the time of its launch.
