      Audis new world-class showroom in Nagpur

      The German luxury car maker, Audi, opened its new showroom in Nagpur. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Gautam Kale, Managing Director, Audi Nagpur (Jaika Vehicle Trade Private Ltd) inaugurated the world-class showroom. The inauguration of the new showroom is a part of the company’s network expansion strategy. The company’s network growth is among the three pillars of its growth strategy. Audi aims at increasing its national footprint to 25 locations in this year.

      Audi Nagpur is the biggest luxury car showroom spread across 9,684 sq. ft area. The showroom will be managing the exclusive service facility of the company. It will be offering the global retail experience standards to the luxury car buyers of the city. Speaking at the time of the inauguration, Michael Perschke said “The opening of a new showroom in Nagpur showcases our commitment to offer our customers with an unparalleled luxury experience of class defining products and world-class services that truly reflect our core brand values of progressiveness, sophistication and sportiness.”

      He further added that, “We are proud to be associated with the Kale family for their deep automotive market understanding and wide portfolio. The launch of Audi Nagpur showroom in Maharashtra provides us with an opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for luxury automobiles in the region. I am confident that our impressive sales performance YTD coupled with our dynamic product line and fast expanding dealer network will ensure that Audi maintains its position as the fastest growing luxury car brand in India.”

      The company aims to expand its network to Bhopal, Coimbatore and Delhi West by April. From its current 16 centres, the company will be extending its network to 25 dealerships by this year. In 2011, the company opened its showrooms in various cities, namely Delhi, Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore. Presently, Audi has showrooms in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai West, Nagpur, Pune and Surat. It plans further developments in the markets of Coimbatore, Delhi West, Lucknow and Mumbai South.

      The showroom with a honeycomb aluminum facade exterior has a display area that can showcase up to 10 Audi cars. The showroom will put on display all the Audi models available in the country, including Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7. Other cars available in India are Audi RS5 Coupé, Audi TT, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder. The premises of the showroom will include an Audi Shop and Audi Exclusive elements, where luxury car buyers can order customised products and buy a range of Audi branded merchandise.

      Audi Nagpur will look after the management of the exclusive Audi service facility, which is situated in MIDC Hingna. It spans over a vast area of 30,000 sq. ft. and has a total of 7 bays where it can service 8 cars daily in a single shift. In order to ensure optimum service to the customers, the facility has well-trained technicians.

      The company has performed remarkable well in February 2012 with sale of over 600 cars, marking a growth of 33 per cent over the same period last year when it sold 450 units. Steering ahead with its strategy chalked out for 2012, the company aims to sell 8000 car this year. Achievement of this target in 2012 will mark a significant growth over 2011, when Audi sold 5511 units. The brand with the four rings sold 1,302,659 luxury cars to customers worldwide, registering €44.1 billion revenue and €5.3 billion operating profit.
