      Audi to launch its 2013 Q5 SUV by the end of 2012; Hybrid model only for US market

      Audi, the German luxury auto maker, has announced that its will launch its 2013 Q5 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) globally by the end of 2013. the car was seen at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show, which was also introduced during same year as 2009 version. Since this SUV was built on a MLP “Modular Longitudinal Platform”, it was able to generate demand for itself in different auto markets across the world. In order to follow the success, Porsche also built its all new Macan on Audi's MLP, which is expected to be launched by the next year.

      Before the arrival of Macan, its rival, Audi will be introducing its 2013 model of Q5 by this year. To entice buyers, the photographs of 2013 Q5 SUV are already posted over internet. However, the technical configuration of this new SUV is not declared by the company officials. Auto analysts believe that the upgraded Q5 will be assimilated with a more efficient and powerful engine, which will deliver improved performance.

      Considering the images published over internet, it is clearly depicted that the facelifted Audi Q5 SUV will hold a new front as well as rear bumper, which is likely to mark its presence over roads and grab the attention of auto enthusiasts. The exteriors of new Q5 flaunt revised tail lights, aggressive lines, precisely placed headlamps and a newly designed six-point grille in the front fascia.

      Apart from moderate changes in exteriors, the car will also boasts of certain world class advancements adding to the convenience of its passengers. The advancements equipped within the car include MMI (Multi Media Interface) technology with multi touch screen for leisure and navigation system for effective communication. Along with these features, the car also includes mobile phone connectivity, satellite radio, audio system with USB interface, and 3D view of key main landmarks.

      In addition to this, the officials of Audi announced that the company will also introduce a hybrid version of Q5 in the auto market of United States of America (USA). This model of Q5 SUV was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and was able to pull the masses. The car is assimilated with a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine and a 1.3 kWh electric motor that will produce maximum power of 54 bhp. The combination of both of these engines will help the Q5 hybrid churn out peak power of 245 bhp, while highest torque of 480 Nm.
