      Vehicle sales in February 2010: 252 cars

      Growth of 123 percent to previous period

      Mumbai - Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, has continued its great start to 2010 with an impressive 123 percent growth in India for February 2010 and is on course of achieving record sales for quarter 1 in India. Audi India's countrywide vehicle sales in February this year grew to 252 cars as compared to 113 units sold in February 2009.

      “True to our philosophy of “Vorsprung durch Technik”, the latest sales figures show that we have continued to make an impressive progress in order to achieve our ambitious goals. Like past, this year too we will focus on the customer-orientated products for the Indian market. In coming months, the customers can expect new sophisticated and sporty luxury models. “said Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India.

      The February sales were dominated by strong sales of luxury sedans- Audi A4 and Audi A6. The best-in-its-class SUVs- Audi Q7 and Audi Q5 also witnessed good demand in the month.

      The Audi model range in India includes the Audi A4, the Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q5, the Audi Q7, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. The entire Audi model range is available at eight showrooms across the country: in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kochi. Early 2010 will witness the opening of new showrooms in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai (West), Jaipur, Chennai, Ludhiana. Further developments include Lucknow, Coimbatore and Nagpur.
