In a move to suppress the menace of low sales and double up the sales figures in the United States, the luxury brand Audi has revised its redesigned A6 midsize sedan prices. It lowered the rates to attain more market share and the price has been slashed off from the fixed value tag. Looking at the figures, the new A6, now entering its first full month of sales, opened its account at $41, 700, which was shared by the company on its website. On the other hand the sales were $45,200 for the previous model. Moreover, biggies like Mercedes-Benz and BMW are enjoying the lead.
Volkswagen's Audi will strive to double the luxury sales in the U.S. to 200,000 units by 2018 as part of its strategic plans to become the world’s biggest automaker. It is a very well known fact that the compact A4 cars and Q5 sport- utility vehicle is responsible for 50 percent of Audi’s U.S. sales. Thus, exaggerating the sales volume for the new A6 will offer more exposure to the brand amidst influential consumers, beyond its full-size A8 and stretched A8L. Johan de Nysschen, head of Audi in the U.S conveyed that the population observes what is being driven by the high class society. He also added that it’s a necessary part in order to develop the brand as a whole. Though Audi lags behind in sales in comparison to the luxury brand counterparts, but looking at the brand’s performance five years ago, the present scenario suggests improvement. Five years before, Audi delivered a total of 90,116 cars and SUVs in the U.S., while the other three brands sold 247,973 to 322,434 units.
For Audi, the coming span of time brings a vigorous test and its expertise in the field, though quite quality one, too will have to go through the tunnel like competition in a way that leads to a silver line being encountered with someday.
