The new innovation from Aston Martin Lagonda is a four-door sports car, which comes equipped with robust features. Notably, Rapide S is more technically sound than the ongoing Rapid from every aspect. The previous car was incorporated with a 6.0-litre V12 engine, developing a power output of 470 bhp with 600 Nm of maximum torque. The car took 5 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph and attained a top speed of 295 kmph. Rapid S, however, has the same capacity engine tapped under its hood, but with a refined version.

The company has inflated its figures and the current car is equipped with a 6.0-litre V12 engine, developing a mammoth 558 bhp with a peak torque of 620 Nm. The car blisters from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, keeping its top speed at 306 kmph. The increase in power output comes from the chassis, which is made slender by the use of aluminium and magnesium. The car is more agile and swiftly moves on the track. Redefining the sumptuous interiors of the older version, Rapide S exhibits finely stitched leather seats for utmost comfort. Electric consoles are lumped all over the dashboard and unique features of heated front and rear seats are also included. Options of magnesium silver rear lamps infills, carbon exterior pack, carbon interior pack and matching wood door trims are provided, as per the customers' requirement. Safety features of side airbags are also included in the car.

Rapide S features a newly developed suspension system with the options of normal, sports and track mode. Superior brake quality is enhanced by Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with track system and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Wheels are melded with a 20-spoke 20-inch silver painted alloy wheels, providing an exquisite look to the car. Interestingly, the overall length of new Rapide S is slightly elongated, keeping its wheelbase same as the older version.

With such brilliant features and controls, the car comes with a hefty price tag as well. The four-door Rapide S bears an ex-showroom price tag of whopping Rs. 4.4 crore. The company aims to target 10-15 customers for this sports luxury car by planning to display it through a cavalcade across the country. Since the advent of Aston Martin in India, the company claims to have sold 55 units of its models till present. With such dynamical outlook, it won't be a surprise if Aston Martin Rapide S equals this figure all alone.
