      Words fall short at times to define the lavishness of Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Auto aficionados term this car as a benchmark of luxury and comfort but interestingly it is much more than just an ostentatious looking piece of automobile. It has a grunt to thrash smooth tracks with speed, along with the safety measures to prevent any dreadful occurrence at any point of time. The innovative engineering of German auto giant helps control the car in dire situations and at the same time provide the most comfy drive to passengers without a single hindrance. Mercedes-Benz S-Class happens to be an epitome of styling and to astound the world, it is arriving on 8th January in a completely new attire.

      Reports earlier suggested that the auto maker is making an attempt to redefine its iconic car's opulent charm and the result is finally ready to be revealed. First to be arriving under the new badge is Mercedes-Benz S500. This car will be incorporated with a 4.6-litre twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine that churns out 457 bhp with a peak torque of 700 Nm. Astonishingly, these power figures are more than a Porsche 911 Carrera S. Also it is speculated that the S350 model will be joining the existing line-up later on and will be available in petrol/diesel option.

      As per reports, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class resembles to a coupe in outlooks. The roofline is bending in a similar way and its front flaunts 4-slat chrome grille with the iconic three star logo mounted on bonnet. It must be noted that the new car does not display any conventional lighting system and all the illumination is carried out by LEDs lumped on outer body. The new design invokes a sporty feeling among onlookers and it wears a much more nimble outfit than its predecessor. The trapezoidal dual chrome plated exhaust pipes are a treat to the eyes and its rear exhibits a much more dynamic look. Overall, the new car is much more refreshing and does not feature a single flaw in its impeccable layout.

      At interiors, it seems to be a portable luxury penthouse, equipped with features which are still unfathomed by other car makers. Once after opening the doors of the car, the ambient lighting welcomes passengers and leaves them completely awe-struck. Seats are stitched with superiors quality leather and looks no less than a comfortable couch. All these seats are equipped with electronically heated arrangement and a massaging system that offers 15 different types of relishing workouts. A large twin touchscreen occupies the main dashboard which provides utility features for driver as well as front passenger. It is equipped with all the latest infotainment features from audio system to navigation and climate control. Rear seats also have two large screens fitted at the back for an enjoyable ride. Inside is a luxurious fusion of wood and leather melded with high-quality durable fabrics.

      New Mercedes-Benz S-Class is anticipated to bear a hefty price tag of Rs. 1.30 crore. Experts are of a view that price does not matter to this car's elite class fan following which mostly comprise business giants, movie actors and sports celebrities. The auto maker has just recorded a 45 per cent rise in its annual sales at 9,003 units being sold in 2013. The company seems exulted with such performance and is leaving no stone unturned to make the launch of new S-Class a grand success. It will be compelling to see how this new statute of wealth is greeted by prospective buyers.
