      Actress Deepika Padukone walks out of Fast & Furious 7

      Fans of actress Deepika Padukone are set to be disappointed as strong rumours have surfaced that she has backed out of the much awaited film, Fast & Furious 7, which is scheduled to release next year. A few weeks ago, reports had claimed that Indian actresses Chitrangada Singh, Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone were auditioned for the seventh edition of the highly popular Hollywood franchise. Following this, sources claimed that makers of Fast & Furious 7 finalised Padukone for an important role in the film and the contract was about to be signed. Now, it seems that some issue has taken place and due to her packed schedule, the Indian actress has decide to pull the plug on this project.

      A person, close to this development was quoted as saying, “Deepika is currently neck-deep with work. She is shooting for Happy New Year and Ram Leela. For Fast and Furious 7, Dippy was required to give dates from September to January next year. The actress was finalised for the project while she was in Dubai. Unfortunately, the announcement came even before she could return to Mumbai and sign the film.”

      The Fast & Furious franchise has been in the news for the past few months due to some interesting developments. The seventh instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise is one of the most talked about films in tabloids and film magazines. It is being said that the makers of this movie are going all out to ensure that it turns out to be a blockbuster. Industry critics believe that given the popularity of the franchise and its ability to attract audiences time and time again, the commercial success is inevitable. However, the producers of this action extravaganza are not leaving anything to chance and are trying all possible way to increase the level of hype. Some say that the planning of the seventh film had begun during the scripting of the Fast & Furious 6. The plot of the Fast & Furious 6 was given a terrific twist towards its climax through the introduction of action star Jason Statham. According to reports, audiences were thrilled with to see Statham in the film and since then, have been eager for the release of the next instalment.

      Fast & Furious, since 2001, has gained tremendous amount of popularity throughout the world. Be it kids, teenagers or middle-aged people, everyone who loves cars has become a fan of this film series. Over the years, a number of stars have featured in Fast & Furious film, which includes actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez and John Ortiz. The success and popularity of the series went to the next level when the makers signed Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for the sixth film. To create more hype around Fast & Furious 7, the makers have signed Jason Statham as the lead antagonist in the film. Directed by James Wan, this film will also feature Asian action star Tony Jaa, who has received a lot of acclaim for his role in the film Ong Bak. Expected to be released in July 2014, Fast 7 is being filmed in Atlanta and Abu Dhabi, according to reports.

      As far as the exclusion of Deepika Padukone is concerned, although nothing has been stated officially, the Indian actor, in all likelihood, will not be featuring in Fast & Furious 7. In the past few years, Deepika Padukone has become one of the most famous actresses in Bollywood. The actress played the lead role in the recently released blockbuster Chennai Express, which has shattered several box office records. Before Chennai Express, Padukone had already featured in commercially successful ventures like Race 2 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The graph of the actor has risen steeply and she will be seen in upcoming films like Ram Leela and Kochadaiiyaan. Sources close to the actress have claimed that the actor could not give dates to the makers of Fast & Furious 7 due to her extremely busy schedule. Currently, Padukone is shooting for director Farah Khan's film, Happy New Year.
