Maruti Ciaz has been one of the most popular sedans in the country. According to the leading Indian car manufacturer, Maruti, Ciaz is one of those cars, which is rich in features. Apart from this fact, the car is also one of the best-selling models in the Indian automotive conditions. There are two variants of this model, which is petrol and diesel.
Maruti Ciaz petrol variant is powered by a 1373 cc K14B petrol engine, which is capable of producing a power of 91.2 bhp at the rate of 6000 rpm. The net torque output of the car is 130 Nm at the rate of 4000 rpm. The power to weight ratio of the car makes sure that the stability is properly maintained while driving the car. On the other hand, the diesel model is powered by a 1248 cc 16 V DDiS diesel engine, which is capable of producing a net power of 88.5 bhp at the rate of 4000 rpm. The torque output is much higher when it comes to comparison with the petrol model. The diesel engine churns out 2000 Nm at the rate of 1750 rpm.
The comfort features have been carefully dealt with in both the variants. While leather seats have been provided in the diesel model, the petrol variant has not been given that option. Additionally, ABS is also provided in the diesel model but not in the petrol variant. The mileage of the petrol variant is slightly lower at 16.08 kilometres per litre in the city, while for diesel model; it is 22.4 kilometre a litre. The highway mileage of the sedan for its petrol variant is 20.73 kilometres per litre, while the diesel model is capable of returning 26.3 kilometres a litre. Other features like cargo volume, power steering are same for both the variants. The petrol variant is priced at 7 lakhs INR, while the diesel model sells at 9.4 lakhs INR.
