Much to the amusement of domestic carmakers in the country, sales report for the month of November has indicated an increase of about 9.52% in domestic passenger car sales with 1,56,445 units sold last month in comparison to 1,42,849 units reported in the same period about a year ago. SIAM has also stated that commercial vehicle sales have grown by about 9.05% with 47,686 units reported in November.
Across categories, an increase of about 5.03% with 16,03,292 in November this year has been reported as against 15,26,514 units reported in the same period in the previous year. Overall two wheeler sales have grown by 4.89% with 13,01,431 units. The data released by SIAM further goes on to show that Motorcycles sales have declined by 3.05% which is to 8,53,254 units from 8,80,078 units reported a year earlier.
