Land Rover, the luxurious SUV maker owned by Tata Motors, has released the teaser image of the 2016 Range Rover Evoque facelift. The updated version of the popular SUV will be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. Along with the teaser image, the British manufacturer has also revealed few details about the updated SUV.

The 2016 Range Rover Evoque SUV will get full LED adaptive headlamps, and it will be the first Land Rover to feature the full LED adaptive lights. The SUV will also be offered with a new engine line-up, new safety, comfort and convenience features. The vehicle will also get new and more appealing interiors. It is expected that the upcoming Evoque facelift could get Jaguar Land Rover’s new Ingenium engine family, which also powers the highly-rated Jaguar XE sedan. Under the bonnet is expected to be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel unit that offers two states of tunes 163PS and 180PS.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, said: “Our challenge has been to enhance Evoque without diluting its iconic design. The design refreshments give it an even greater presence on the road yet retain the emotional appeal that has made it so popular with more than 400,000 consumers around the world.”

The current Evoque SUV is offered in both 3- or 5-door hardtop versions; however, media reports suggest that the maker might also introduce the Evoque Cabriolet. Further details on the SUV will be released on February 23, while the SUV will be previewed on March 3, 2015. In India, the Evoque imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) which is powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.
