Italian carmaker Fiat, that is now well known as Fiat Chrysler Automobile, had showcased the tall five-door hatchback named '500X' at the LA Auto Show. The vehicle sported utility and space than the standard Fiat 500 coupe that is stated to be based on a traditional Fiat design. At the event, speaking more on the occasion, Jason Stoicevich, Fiat's North America Brand Head, said, “The Fiat 500X will significantly expand the reach of the FIAT brand in North America. The all-new 500X delivers the Italian design and personality that we are known for, along with an unprecedented level of equipment and technology. In addition, it will be the first vehicle in our portfolio to offer an advanced all-wheel-drive system that will provide customers with peace of mind in all driving conditions.”

Right from the very moment Fiat showcased the 500X, it has been a subject of discussion from a comparison perspective with the popular Mini Countryman. Jason Stoicevich was also quoted by Reuters as stating, “If you look at the 500, the number one reason for rejection is the size of the vehicle. We no longer have that. Our expectations would be to outsell the 500.”

The company has not spoken on the pricing aspect yet, going by reports, it is likely that Fiat may usher in the vehicle sometime by Mid-2015. The Fiat 500X shall be launched in about 100 countries with the US being the first one to receive it.
