BMW, today, rolled out the 2015 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift in India at Rs . 1.14 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Coupe is available in two variants - 640d Eminence and 640d Design Pure Experience, which are priced at Rs. 1.14 crore and Rs. 1.21 crore(ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. The vehicle has received minor cosmetic updates, though there are no mechanical changes made to it.
Talking about its engine, the 2015 6-Series facelift is powered with a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, in-line diesel engine that delivers a maximum power of 313bhp at 4,400rpm, while yielding a peak torque of 630Nm between 1,500rpm – 2,500rpm. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the car can achieve 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds. It has an electronically limited speed of 250kmph. The xDrive all-wheel drive system, offered as a standard feature, is claimed to enhance the acceleration of the Coupe, despite its hefty body-built.
On the exterior, the car gets new LED flog lamps, revised front and rear bumpers, standard LED multibeam lights, a radiator grille slat, air inlets surrounds, 19-inches alloy wheels and shadow line and dark chrome exhaust pipe. The new 6 Series facelift is now available in new color options - Melbourne Red, Jatoba, Space Grey, Mineral White, Mediterranean Blue, Cashmere Silver, Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver and Alpine White (non-metallic). From inside, the Coupe remains largely unchanged. Though, it manages to look more up-market with new Fineline Brown and Fine-wood trim Poplar Grain Grey, improved material quality, dual-tone leather upholstery and a Head-up display (HUD).
