Honda plans to widen the Accord appeal across the globe. It revealed the new Accord Crosstour CUV for the US market. The Accord is one of America’s best selling model and Honda now hopes to capture the buyers who want to feel the sedan looks and versatility of an SUV. Thus, the car is called a CUV, crossover utility vehicle.

The new images have been revealed by Honda one month prior to the official launch of the car in the North American market. The new looks of crossover CUV bear little similarity to the existing sedan or coupe. It has a more prominent grille, substantial rear hatch and a sloping X6-like roof line. “The Crosstour will have a car-like ride and refinement" with taller ride height and all-weather tractability. It can adapt to large objects that exceed the capacity of a sedan," says Honda.

Complete details of the car will be available in October when the car is officially launched in the market. The car will be pitted against Toyota’s Venza which is its main competitor in the market. The new Accord Crosstour is more masculine and bears a strong body as compared to Venza’s long, lean and elegant design.
