Summary

Maruti Suzuki Stingray has 6 versions available in India which are petrol cars. Maruti Suzuki Stingray comes in 5 colours, namely, Glistening Grey, Midnight Blue, Passion Red, Silky Silver, Superior White.

The Stingray is a slight upmarket version of the regular WagonR with additional features both inside and out. The hatchback gets the same 67.06bhp, 1.0-litre, K-Series petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox that also powers the regular WagonR. Ride quality is good, but the car fails to match its rivals when it comes to handling and drivability.

The Stingray isn’t one of the most fuel efficient Maruti Suzuki cars in India, but it still returns a fuel economy of 17.08kmpl in regular city traffic and 20.51kmpl on highways.

Ditching the dual-tone interior, the Stingray gets all-black theme complimented by several styling elements such as piano black finishing on doors and dashboard, chromed side AC vents and door handles etc. It’s among the decently equipped Maruti Suzuki cars in India, and comes fitted with some additional features.

The hatchback features a new front bumper with large radiator grille, first-in-segment projector headlights, clamshell bonnet, a new front grille, large alloys, chromed tail lights and a rear spoiler.

The Stingray is powered by a 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine that develops a maximum power of 67.06bhp at 6200rpm with a torque of 90Nm between 3500rpm. The WagonR Stingray isn’t among the most frugal Maruti Suzuki car models, but it still returns a decent fuel economy of 20.51kmpl paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Engine’s mid-range response is good, though, it get sluggish at higher RPMs. It runs effortlessly in city traffic.
