Tata Punch facelift

Model launch date:

Tata Motors is likely to introduce the Punch facelift in the country in late 2024.

Feature list:

Appearance-wise, the facelifted Punch will debut with a new fascia, including a new radiator grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, redesigned LED headlamps and taillamps, and freshly designed alloy wheels. Moreover, the silhouette is likely to remain almost identical to the outgoing model.

Inside, the model is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a premium sound system.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

Under the hood, the Punch facelift is likely to continue with the same powertrain. It will come powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that is tuned to produce 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. The transmission duties will be taken care of by a five-speed manual and an AMT unit. Also on offer could be a CNG variant.

Variants:

The updated Punch is likely to be offered in four variants, namely Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless.

Safety:

Tata Motors has not tested the facelifted Punch for any safety ratings yet.

Competition:

Upon its launch, the 2024 Tata Punch will rival the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Citroen C3, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
