Maruti Suzuki Ritz Other Details

Maruti Suzuki Ritz has 9 versions available in India from which 5 are petrol and 4 are diesel cars. Maruti Suzuki Ritz comes in 6 colours, namely, Bakers Chocolate, New Breeze Blue, New Granite Grey, New Mystique Red, Silky Silver, Superior White.

The Ritz is one of the most practical Maruti Suzuki cars in India that received its first updated in 2012. With slightly tweaked exterior and interior, the hatchback remained a comparatively low seller than other Maruti Suzuki models. The hatchback is available with two engine options – a 1.2-litre, 85.80bhp, petrol and a 1.3-litre, 74bhp, multijet diesel. A 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic transmission are on offer. Ride is well-settled on rough roads, though it needs improvement in terms of driving dynamics.

The Ritz is one of the most fuel efficient Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The petrol-powered manual version delivers a mileage of 18.5kmpl, while the automatic version offers 17.16kmpl. The diesel variant returns an impressive mileage of 23.2kmpl.

The new red dual-tone interior, improved rear seating configuration and lumbar support and additional comfort-enhancing features were major alterations made to its interior in 2012.

The vehicle received its mid-life facelift in 2012 when it got a new front grille, headlamps, re-designed bumper, larger fog lamps, a rear spoiler and three new color options.

The hatchback is powered by the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engines that also do duty on other Maruti Suzuki cars including Swift and Swift Dzire. Both the engines are mated with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the petrol trim is also available with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Drivability and handling are improved, but aren’t sporty. Controls are easy. The car is complained for body roll and NVH levels.
