The new BMW iX1 was launched in India on 28 September, 2023.

Feature list
In terms of appearance, the iX1 has a very futuristic appeal with inspiration taken from the XM Concept. It has an upright nose with a prominently large chrome grille. There are blue highlights seen all around the car, proclaiming its electric nature. The new inverted daytime lights are neatly integrated into the LED headlamp clusters.
The iX1 is a five-seater SUV and the highlight of the cabin is the new layout for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. The multimedia screen now measures 10.7 inches, while the 10.25-inch driver’s display is fully digital. Besides this, the electric SUV gets a two-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, and leather upholstery.
Battery, powertrain, and specifications
The BMW iX1 sources its power from a floor-placed 64.7kWh battery pack, which feeds the dual electric motors on each, the front and rear axle, to produce a combined output of 308bhp and 494Nm of peak torque.
Charging time and range:
The battery of the BMW iX1 can be charged using 11kW DC or 130kW AC chargers. While the former takes 6.5 hours to juice up the battery, the latter takes merely 29 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent.
