Upcoming Toyota Fortuner Facelift

Toyota Fortuner Facelift
01 December 2020 Expected Launch
29 - 35 Lakh Expected Price

A camouflaged unit of the Toyota Fortuner facelift has been spied testing in Thailand, hinting that it will be launched here in India by end 2020. The current-gen Fortuner was launched in India back in November 2016, and though it is still the most popular SUV in its segment, a much needed facelift may help bring more customers to the Toyota showroom floors across the country.

It is clear that Toyota is not going to make radical changes to it in terms of design, even though the test mule was fully camouflaged. Changes are expected to be limited to reworked headlamps and taillamps, a new grille, new air dam, new side cladding and new alloy wheels design.

Changes on the inside are expected to be limited to new equipment – including a new touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.

The engines – a 2.7-litre petrol and a 2.8-litre diesel – are expected to be carried over from the current model, albeit with BS6 compliance. This is expected to raise the asking price significantly – from the current range of Rs 28.16 lakh – Rs 33.95 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 29 lakh – Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom).
