Summary

Tata Tigor, a Sedan has 9 versions available in India. Tigor has 5 Petrol cars and 4 Diesel cars. Tata Tigor comes in 6 colours, namely, Berry Red, Egyptian Blue, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Roman Silver, Titanium Grey.

The Tata Tigor is the second compact sedan in the Indian carmaker’s lineup and sits below the Tata Zest. Built on the Tata Tiago platform, the Tigor was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi as the Kite 5 Concept. The Tata Tigor has been built with the HorizonNext design ideology and was launched in 2017. This is a mid-life boost for the car.

    • Mileage

The 1047 cc Diesel - powered variant delivers a fuel economy of 16 kmpl in city and 18 kmpl on highways, while the Petrol variant offers a mileage of 14 kmpl on urban roads and 16 kmpl on highways, respectively.

    • Interiors

The Tata Tigor gets the same swanky cabin from the Tiago hatchback right down to the layout of the instrument cluster. Design elements include a grey and black dashboard with grey seats, body-coloured inserts for the AC vents, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control and steering mounted audio controls. While automatic climate control is only reserved for the top-spec XZ+ trim, the rear power windows and music system start form the second-to-base XM trims. For safety, it gets ABS with EBD and cornering control from the XZ trim and dual front airbags as standard.

    • Exteriors

The smiley honeycomb mesh grille on the fascia is exactly the same as the Tata Tiago along with the headlamps and the front bumper. In profile, the Tiago design continues till the B-pillar after which there are subtle changes as the roof-line slopes towards the stubby boot in notchback style. Tata likes to call it the ‘styleback’ and we do agree that it is one of the prettiest compact sedans on the block. The petrol engine for the Tigor is the 1.2-litre Revotron motor that produces 84bhp/140Nm of torque. The diesel on the other hand, is the 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder unit that produces 69bhp/140Nm of torque. Both engines are offered only with a five-speed manual while the petrol can also be had with a five-speed automated manual. Both the engines get Eco and City driving modes.
