Tata Indigo [2005-2009]
₹ 3.88 Lakh Onwards
a car woth that money (5 lac) seems to be a very good value for money on papers but its not a pleasure to drive and pretty bad at handling on high speeds
TATA INDIGO CS (DICOR)
Ride comfort - 6/10 (it drops drastically if u plan to keep the car for more than 3 years NVH level increase harshly)
Maintenance - 7/10 (since its a tata vehicle u can never rely upon equipment quality and durability though engine and essentials are not that sensitive it wont be a problem if you are ok with low quality plastic and occasional rattling coming up from suspension ... the vehicle may need frequent allignment and wheel balancing , more frequent than competition or it can turnout to be tyre eater)
mileage- 6/10 it is 13 in city and 18 on highway (swift desire goin same mile with that galon with more power and more torque sounds more efficient)
resale value after 4 years - tatas are not good at resale cant say about the market after 4 years but till date tatas are hard to sell as second hand.. so dont be shocked if u get a throw away price for your car after that time period
conclusion - a car woth that money (5 lac) seems to be a very good value for money on papers but its not a pleasure to drive and pretty bad at handling on high speeds (remember no ABS option available too)
