When I test drove the new Tata Indica V2

By Suresh on 21 September 2011

When I test drove the new Tata Indica V2, I was instantly impressed by its commendable fuel efficiency and decent mileage of 25 km per litre. The car has 1396 cc engine that comes with engine management system technology, which enhances engine performance and fuel economy.

The exterior is much more improved with Tata Indica V2 with features like new clear lens headlamps and tail-lamps, stylish new front grille with chrome strip, body coloured bumpers and outside rear view mirrors(OVRMs). On the other hand, the spacious cabin of this premium hatchback model is designed in order to accommodate five passenger comfortably.

The interior evidences a beige coloured cabin with wooden finish centre console, four spoke sleek steering wheel, leather covered gear shift control and storage pocket in the front door. To facilitate world class driving experience, the interior has various features such as air-conditioning with heating system, power windows, power steering wheel, two way adjustable front seat headrest, 60/40 flip flop rear seats and front seats with lumber support.

One of the most useful features of the car is its impeccable safety and security equipment. To ensure security, the car is equipped with remote central locking system and child safety locks on rear doors. Moreover, the car also comes with features like high mounted stop lamps, front and rear fog lamps, collapsible steering column and 3 point Emergency Locking Retractor(ELR) seat belts in front and rear side seats, to ensure safety of the passengers during impact.
