Detailed Renault Duster Review

What's Good?

The good thing about this car is that it is averagely comfortable, it has an acceptable mileage and the seating is high. The car has well padded seat and for the pricing that Renault has put it up against in the market I admit to it that it is exceptional. What I really liked in this car is that the looks and size of it. It has an enormous boot space. I guess buying a compact SUV has its advantages. The car also has different than regular looks and looks bulky giving it a Macho feel.

What can improve?

The features that the company provides can be really improved specially now with Ford Ecosport available in the market with much more features at a much lesser price than the Duster. The central console has 0 goodies and is plain bland simple. The legspace on the back seats is not quite comfy as one would think. A person would expect the leg room to be like the Toyota Innova but that is not so. Since my car is a petrol version, the good part is there is minimal engine noise compared to a diesel. When the car is standing still you can hear a slight humming of the the engine in the cabin and the A/C blower also is noisy at its full flow.

Overall Comments

The car has quite a different shape. The headlamps are beautifully built and the tail lamps add the sense of the car being a sensitive kind to it. It has a long hood like the Endeavour by Ford. The broadness like the Toyota Fortuner. And there is basically the compactness of a hatchback. All in all the car is very nicely built with a rough and bulky look and feel to it. This is actually really good as you really feel like you are driving a SUV.

There are slacky interiors in the car. For a price of 11 lakh, I would expect them to be much much more better than what the stock features the company provides in the car. The colour of the interior is beige and the quality of plastics used in the car is also relatively of lower grade. This makes you feel as if you are not driving the car worth its price.

The ride quality is very good infact. The massive power that its engine churns out is quite impressive. Take it off the black top and you will know that this car is indeed fairly priced and not overrated infact. The car does quite well on the rocky surfaces and hardly will you even notice the small tweeks and twigs on the roads. The small speed breakers are like ice cream to this car. 0 jerks on my back and I hardly slow down for small bumps. This was indeed very pleasing. I myself being a car enthusiast, was not much impacted by the features in the car than its ride quality which is why in the first place i bought this car. But as a normal customer, I would not be much pleased with what Duster has to offer.
