Upcoming Porsche Macan New

Porsche Macan New
15 July 2019 Expected Launch
85 Lakhs - 1.2 Crores Expected Price

Porsche is known for building engineering marvels on wheels that go very fast. The German sportscar maker made sure that their SUVs, the Cayenne and the Macan were equally sporty. The Macan is the smaller of the two and was launched a few years ago. Now it has received its first mid-life update and will be launched in India soon after the new Cayenne.

It will compete with the Range Rover Velar, the Land Rover Discovery, the Jaguar F-Pace and the Mercedes GLE Coupe and the BMW X6 in the Indian car market.

The Macan facelift gets updated styling cues with a chiselled front bumper, new LED headlamps and some added aggression. Being a facelift, the profile is the same with the flared wheel arches and the sloping roofline. It is the tail which has got the biggest revision with the LED tail lamp strip running across the tailgate, the new signature of all Porsche cars.

Inside, the Macan continues to be luxurious with the leather interior and all the bells and whistles. The infotainment system gets an upgrade and so does the TFT screen of the instrument cluster. The dash layout has been subtly tweaked and so has been the centre console layout. The rear seats are recline adjustable and it offers a large boot for the luggage.

Porsche has announced that they would stop selling diesels globally, which means, the India-car will also not have a diesel option. You will get to choose from a bouquet of a 2.0-litre straight four, a 3.0-litre V6 and the twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre V6 with the eight-speed PDK gearbox and torque on demand all-wheel drive.
