Nissan, the Japanese automaker, launched the Terrano in 2013 in India, followed by a special Anniversary edition a year after. The SUV is one of the most popular Nissan cars in India. The SUV looks identical to the Renault Duster, though it gets new grille, modified bumpers, new tail light cluster and various new styling elements. The interior, too, looks inspired from the Duster. But, it’s more spacious and up-market. The SUV comes powered with a 102bhp, 1.6-litre MPFi petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, K9K diesel engine, which is tuned for two power states -  83.8bhp and 108.5bhp.

The Terrano is one of the most fuel efficient Nissan cars in India. The powerful diesel models return an impressive fuel economy of 19kmpl, while the less powerful models offer 20kmpl. The petrol version vows to deliver a maximum mileage of 13kmpl.

The cabin ofthe SUV gets some significant changes, when compared to the Duster, such as modified centre console with vertical silver panels and piano black panels around the new multimedia system and slightly up-market dashboard. The base variants are offered with all black interior, while the mid-level and top-end models get beige – black interior. It comes equipped with additional comfort-enhancing features such as one-step driver height adjust, new audio system, rear AC vents and instrument cluster with orange backlight.

The SUV looks similar to the Renault Duster. However, it manages to look refreshing with all-new grille, bold bonnet lines, headlamps with a four pod design, revised bumper, silver-finished skid plates and slightly modified roof rails. No changes have been made to its side profile, though the rear end gets new tail light cluster and tail gate design, tailgate with a license plate holder, re-designed bumper with new alignment of reflectors and single color body panels.

The SUV shares its engines with the Duster. The petrol version is powered with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder, MPFi petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 102.6bhp and a torque of 145Nm, whereas the 1.5-litre, K9K diesel engine is tuned for two states of tunes - 83.8bhp and 108.5bhp. While the less powerful diesel engine and the petrol model get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 110PS diesel version is paired to a 6-speed transmission. The Terrano is one of most capable Nissan car models that offers a great performance on almost all sorts of terrains.
