World cup heroes, Virender Sehwag and Piyush Chawla, get New Fluidic Verna as a compliment from Hyundai

Hyundai Motor Indian Limited (HMIL), country’s second largest car manufacturer, kept its promise of awarding ‘New Fluidic Verna’ to the world cup winning team by presenting the scintillating sedan to Virender Sehwag and Piyush Chawla. These two players were the key members who guided India to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

The largest car exporter of India announced at the time, when the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 was about to begin that it would present the victorious Indian team with the all new Hyundai Verna cars.

Nawab of Najafgarh and the young spinning sensation got the key of the spectacular New Fluidic Verna sedan from Director- Sales and Marketing, Arvind Saxena.

Addressing the media on the grand occasion, Arvind Saxena quoted “It gives us immense pleasure to present the members of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning team with the All New Verna, that bears Hyundai’s new fluidic design philosophy and offers best-in-class design, quality and technology. The new Verna is already getting rave response from all our customers and has registered more than 21,000 bookings since its launch in May 2011.”

Hyundai plans to organize similar congratulating ceremonies in other parts of the country following the key handover occasion in New Delhi.

The South Korean car company is appointed as the official car partner, with exclusive category rights, for International Cricket Council (ICC) reigning from 2011- 2015. Hyundai capitalized on the World Cup craze and had done in-depth marketing to boost its vehicles sales. Hyundai has been quite busy with organizing different events at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 like the Hyundai Fan Parks, Hyundai ICC First and Last Ball Tour and the same has benefitted the company with increasing sales figures.
