The carmaker has positioned the Amaze at the gates in the sedan segment, whereas the Brio safeguards the hatchback segment for Honda. Both the vehicle have indeed been brilliant performers and stylish offering from Honda. As a fresh offering for its takers in India, Honda has inaugurated the new trims of both the models in a manual transmission.
The new Honda Amaze VX (O) and the Honda Brio VX gets the same AVN system that you may come across the Mobilio MPV from Honda. Both the vehicles continue to powered by existing 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is capable of generating about 87bhp of power with about 109Nm of torque. On the other hand a 1.5 Liter diesel engine has been provided with Amaze sedan and comes with claim of delivering an impressive 25.8 Kmpl. Reports have also been coming in that the company has been planning on launching a CNG trim in Amaze.
The price chart of the new launches have been indicated as follows:
Amaze VX(O) Petrol : Rs 7.32 lakh
Amaze VX(O) Diesel : Rs 8.20 lakh
Whereas, Honda Brio has two new variants namely:
Brio VX(O) Petrol : Rs 5.99 lakh
Brio VX(O) Petrol Automatic Transmission: Rs 6.78 lakh
Speaking about new updates, the new Brio and Amaze gets features like white illumination speedometer with touch of blue gradation and new outside rear-view mirrors. As for the interiors, the vehicle comes blessed with 15.7cm touch screen that works as display for maps, in-car entertainment, satellite-based voice guided navigation and provides connectivity features for components like USB, AUX-in, etc. Moreover mobile phone applications can now be controlled via a Bluetooth connectivity function. The SX trim comes with additional features like rear defogger and electrically foldable wing mirrors.
