It’s just been a few days since the 2018 Touareg was caught testing on European roads. But, we decided to digitally render it to give you a better idea of how this car may turn out to be, before Volkswagen officially reveals the upcoming Touareg later this year.

There’s no doubt that the most updated section of the car is the front fascia that now incorporates a restyled grille which neatly unites with the headlamps that sport new internals. Generous use of chrome highlight this grille and the style is replicated in the lower air dams on either sides of the bumper.

These traits coupled with a new alloy design and the edgier shoulder line of the new Touareg successfully lend the car an aggressive stance. Since Volkswagen has smartly borrowed design cues from the brand’s Arteon and the Atlas vehicles, it looks contemporary and in-line with the current design language of VW cars.

The upcoming 2018 Touareg is expected to be based on the VW Group’s Evo platform and should be produced at the carmakers factory in Slovakia. Volkswagen’s next Touareg could debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show before rolling into showrooms early next year.
