Volvo in Malaysia has introduced the Polestar performance programme for owners of the V40 T5, XC60 (T5 and T6), and S60 T6.
With Volvo’s Polestar performance parts package, upgrades include the chassis, intake and exhaust, wheels, interior and exterior, and optimisation. It needs a special mention that the chassis changes will also see the inclusion of new shock absorbers, coil springs, as well as a front strut bar (for S60 only).
Owners who decide to use the programme’s intake and exhaust will also get to taste the stainless steel exhaust system that benefits from a new sports air filter, new air box lid, and a rear diffuser. While 19-inch lightweight alloys find their way on to the V40 and S60, the XC60s can get the 21-inch wheels. That said, Pirelli tyres adorn the XC60 and V40, while the brand uses Bridgestone tyres on the S60.
Performance through the Polestar upgrades include an increase of 8bhp and 50Nm on the V40 T5 and XC60 T5, while the XC60 T6 and S60 T6 make do with a milder 4bhp and 30Nm upgrade over the stock versions.
Volvo currently does not offer the Polestar performance packages in India.
