Starting from 2012, the Swedish auto maker will be hosting the inaugural 'Volvo World Golf Challenge'. This alliance was announced by Tomas Emberg, Managing Director of Volvo Auto India and Padamjit Sandhu, Director of PGTI.

At the occasion, Emberg commented, “We have been the official partners of the Avantha Masters from the past 3 years. Now we have joined hands with the PGTI and we are looking forward to it.”

It is expected that approximately 800 players will participate in the tournament this year, with the number anticipated to increase in the future. The winner and first runner-up of the Volvo World Golf Challenge will get the chance to partake in the world championship.
