As the 5th season of Indian Premiere League (IPL) is approaching, Volkswagen has decided to introduce its IPL Editions of selected variants of the Polo and the Vento. As per the action model strategy for the market, Volkswagen introduced the Vento IPL Edition last year. The new variants will be available at no extra cost although they will have additional features.
The IPL Edition II will have dual tone leatherette seat covers, door sill design, special floor mats, and IPL branding on the boot. Interactive car pad with multimedia entertainment system will also be provided. This system will feature navigation and social networking options for the rear seat passenger.
Mr. Neeraj Garg, member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars commenting on the action model strategy of the brand, said, “last year we launched our first action model the Vento IPL Edition and there on introduced the Breeze models of both the Polo and the Vento. The immense response we received towards these special editions has prompted us to continue with the IPL Editions and this time with both our popular carlines-the Polo and the Vento.” Starting March 15, 2012, the IPL Editions will be displayed at the company’s dealership; however, sales will start from April 2012.
Volkswagen has recently launched the Comfortline trim level of the Vento Diesel. The company has already introduced the Trendline and Highline trim with diesel engine. At all showrooms of the company, the Vento Diesel Comfortline is on sale. In Maharashtra the car is available with a price tag of Rs.8.74 lacs whereas for all other showrooms across the country, it is Rs. 8.74 lacs.
Apart from all features available in the Vento Trendline, Vento Diesel Comfortline also has body coloured exterior door handles and mirrors, rear center arm rest, fog light front and rear, and height adjustable driver seat. Some other features of Vento Diesel Comfortline are radio with CD, MP3 player music system, electrically adjustable outside rear mirror.
