The Volkswagen Polo will soon be offered in a new Highline Plus trim that will get 16-inch alloy wheels. Many dealers are accepting bookings for the same at Rs 10,000.
The current Highline variant gets 15-inch alloy wheels, while 16-inch alloys will be offered in the new Highline Plus trim. This new trim is slotted above the Highline and below the GT trims. It should be noted that a reverse camera and touch screen infotainment system is already offered as standard with the Highline trim.
Volkswagen hasn't made any changes to the powertrain options in either of these trims. The petrol model comes powered by a 1,198cc, three-cylinder petrol mill that churns out 74bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. The diesel variants derive power from a 1,498cc, four-cylinder diesel motor that produces 89bhp and 230Nm of torque. All these engine options come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The carmaker has not updated the prices on their official website yet. The Highline Plus trim is expected to command a premium of Rs 26,000 over the standard Highline variant. Furthermore, Volkswagen India might give this treatment to their Ameo compact sedan too.
