Volkswagen has been a global favorite among cars buyers across the globe. The international carmaker has choose popular GPS device maker TomTom to deliver in-dash navigation systems in its cars that are sold in North American markets. The TomTom device shall be used across multiple offerings by the carmaker. The list also includes Passat, Jetta and Bettle trims.
Speaking more on the occasion, Harold Goddijn, CEO of TomTom said, “We are delighted to announce this agreement with Volkswagen, strengthening our relationship with one of the world’s premier car manufacturers, and reinforcing our global position as a trusted provider of automotive grade maps. TomTom’s real-time map-making technology ensures our customers will have the most up-to-date map on the market.”
TomTom ensures that maps delivered shall be accurate and up-to-date. The device has been developed using professional map-making methods and real time support from a community of over hundreds of millions of users who give out GPS traces and give out real-world road network changes.
