      In a bizarre turn of events, an upset Vadodara based Mercedes Benz owner paraded his E-Class luxury saloon dragged by six donkeys through city roads, in order to catch attention of the German auto major's Indian division. Frustrated with his repeated failures at getting the car properly serviced, the owner took to a rather unconventional way of humiliating Mercedes Benz by resorting help from donkeys!

      Rakesh Patel, a Vadodara based local businessman, was extremely disappointed and frustrated with poor after sales service of the company's dealer. Patel had purchased his 'three pointed star' E-350 luxury sedan around one and a half years back at a retail value of Rs. 60 lacs, which came with Mercedes Benz Road Side Assistance Program. However, since buying the car, Patel was repeatedly bugged with problems in two wheels of car. Accordingly, after growing frustrated of visiting and calling local Mercedes Benz stores, Patel took the matter in his own hands and vent out his anger with the public outburst.To he above episode, Mercedes Benz has issued the following statement' Mr. Rakesh Patel from Baroda is owner of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class 350 CDI and purchased the vehicle on 30-July, 2012 from Benchmark Cars, Ahmedabad.Two tyres of his car has undergone damage due to external impact . Damages to the tyres due to external impact are not covered under the tyre manufacturer's obligation as well as Car manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions.In spite of these, when Benchmark Cars learnt of the tyres issue, they offered to replace all the four tyres as a good will gesture to a valued customer.Mr. Rakesh Patel has however, refused the offer and insists on replacement of the entire car. The act by Mr. Patel to try and grab attention is being reviewed from this perspective.'
