Honda has introduced the Dio with a new matte grey paint scheme. First unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, this updated model continues with the current model’s price tag of Rs 48,264 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from the new matte grey paint scheme, the Dio also gets a new 3D emblem and body-coloured grab rail. It is powered by the same 109cc air-cooled single cylinder, which produces 8bhp and 8.77Nm of torque. The Dio’s popularity in not limited just to the Indian market, as it also happens to be Honda’s number 1 export model. As of now, Honda ships the Dio to markets in Latin America, South America, Sri Lanka and Nepal, and it plans to add other countries to this list soon.The Dio competes with the Yamaha Cygnus Ray Z and the Hero Duet.
Speaking about the Dio, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Sr VP, sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “In line with Honda strategy to delight our customers by refreshing our product portfolio regularly, the new Dio is Honda’s sixth new model of 2016. The new Matt Axis grey colour with value addition of the premium 3D emblem without any additional cost makes it a compelling proposition to own one.”
