The all new next-gen Innova from Toyota is set for global unveiling next month. Just ahead of its official launch, sources have managed to lay their hands on the brochure of the upgrades version. The new Innova has been designed from scratch wherein it shall powered by new engines that are powerful and fuel efficient. The leaked brochure mentions specs for the Indonesian market. The new model shall be offered in petrol as well as diesel trims.
Under the hood, the new Innova would be offered with a new 2.4-litre diesel engine that replaces the current KD 2.5-litre engine. The new engine shall be mated to six-speed manual transmission and may also be offered with an optional six-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic trim would generate about 125bhp at 3,400rpm and 360Nm of torque, while the manual variant generates about 125bhp and 342Nm of torque. The petrol trim on the other hand would be powered by 2.0-litre DOHC Dual VVT-i 16-valve engine that generates about 137bhp at 5,600 rpm and 183 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm, this won't be coming to India though.
The new Innova is expected to be offered in G, V and Q trims. Based on different variants the upcoming vehicle would get features like 16-inch alloy wheels, ambient LED lighting, seven-inch/eight-inch entertainment system with voice command and Bluetooth function. Additionally, it would also include automatic climate control, wood-finished panels, push button start and LED projector headlights that would be offered at different trim levels. In terms of dimensions, the new Innova would measure 1,830 mm in width, 4,735 mm in length, wheelbase of about 2,750 mm and 4,735 mm in length.
