Maruti Suzuki Vitara, popular name in the SUV segment is set for a comeback sometime in 2019. This time around, the upcoming vehicle has been spotted testing in the country and will GO on to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta in India. The new model has been spotted on test with a fresh set of cosmetic upgrades.
Based on what can be seen, the new Suzuki Vitara features body-coloured door handles, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a clam-shell bonnet and ORVMS with integrated bonnet. Although engine details are not known for now, reports indicate that the company might introduce new powertrain options. Internationally, the vehicle is available with three engine options - 1.6-litre petrol and diesel, and a 1.4-litre Boosterjet petrol engine.
Reports further indicate that the company is also working on developing a seven-seater crossover based on the new-generation Ertiga. While further details of the new Suzuki Vitara are yet to be revealed, we expect it to be offered with front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard at the time of its launch. The vehicle is also expected to be offered with more features and premium upholstery over its predecessor.
