The prudent domestic 2-wheeler giant, Mahindra & Mahindra seems to have adapted a dynamic approach in its upcoming vehicles. The company is soon to mark the advent of its new 110cc scooter, codenamed – Mahindra G101, in the domestic market. Since this scooter will be kept directly in competition with the mighty Honda Activa, the home-grown auto maker is leaving no stone unturned for its new creation to be a vanquisher. Reports suggest that the auto manufacturer is making strenuous efforts in transforming the new scooter into a top-notch machine. In a bid to achieve the same, the company has now decided that Mahindra G101 will be getting a smart remote flip key for enhanced safety purposes.

The company's ongoing motorbike, Mahindra Centuro features the same safety aspect, which has been appreciated by a large number of customers. The smart remote flip key from the company uses a 96-bit encryption to unlock the motorbike; thus, making it impossible to be copied. This similar key will be used in the Mahindra G101 – 110cc scooter, which will be marking the advent of new generation family scooters in the domestic market. Along with the introduction of this smart remote flip key, expectations are that the scooter will also be getting an engine immobiliser. It will be a remarkable event in the scooter segment if the company successfully launches Mahindra G101 with all such safety features.

The engine used in this 110cc scooter is a new generation mill, which follows the Micro Chip Ignited-5 Curve (MCi-5) technology of Mahindra. The similar technology has also been employed in the engine of Mahindra Centuro, which offers excellent driveability to the rider. The all-new 110cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine will be delivering a power output of almost 7.5 bhp with peak torque of more than 8.5 Nm. It will be mated to a CVT transmission, which will help the scooter in giving a high mileage of around 85 kmpl. Although the company has attempted to provide a basic outlook to this scooter, technology has been lumped inside its body. Mahindra has kept the modern day riders in mind and has created a machine, which matches the customer's expectations in almost all aspects.

Experts are of a view that this new 110cc scooter bears an uncanny resemblance to its sibling motorbike in terms of technicality. If such are the facts, then the company might also introduce the features of find-me lamps, distance-to-empty gauge, digital instrument cluster and guide lamps in the scooter. Nothing much can be anticipated as of now but one thing is pretty certain that with this scooter, the company will be striving to create new records. It will be interesting to see what all features have been added in Mahindra G101 once it is out on the streets.
