      Upcoming Mahindra Cars in India in 2015

      Mahindra & Mahindra is facing stiff competition from the likes of Honda Cars India and Tata Motors. In order to counter the growing competition, the home-grown automaker is aiming to launch all-new SUVs and facelifts of its existing UVs. Here is a list of upcoming Mahindra utility vehicles in the country in 2015.

      Mahindra XUV500

      1. Mahindra XUV 500 facelift - Launched in 2011, the XUV 500 will soon get a makeover. The updated SUV has already been leaked on web, revealing visual changes given to the SUV. It comes with a new front fascia and chrome grille, redesigned headlamps, new bumpers with new faux aluminium skid plate, etc. The vehicle also get new 10-spoke alloy wheels. Mechanically, the SUV remains unchaged.

      Expected Launch - May 2015

      2. Mahindra S101 compact SUV- It is one of the most-awaited cars of this year. Codenamed S101, the new micro SUV will be positioned alongside the Quanto and is expected to be priced under Rs. 5 lakh. It will be a six-seater SUV with the bench type front row seat to accommodate three passengers. Under the bonnet will be a new 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.

      3. Mahindra Quanto AMT- At the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, the home-grown automaker showcased the Quanto with automated manual transmission gearbox. It will be the first vehicle in its segment to feature an AMT gearbox. The new five-speed autoshift transmission has been developed by the company to offer the convenience of an automatic gearbox along with the feel of manual.

      4. Mahindra U301 Bolero - Mahindra is also working on an all-new SUV, which will be offered in both sub-4 metre SUV and seven-seater forms. Codenamed the U301, the SUV will replace the ageing Bolto. The sub-4 metre SUV will target the young enthusiasts and will be powered by the 1.5-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine that also powers the Quanto.
