Ford is preparing itself to launch the facelifted EcoSport with changes to the exterior, interior and a new petrol engine. The latest spyshots also reveal that there will be a new TitaniumS trim.

We already know about the changes to the facelifted EcoSport like a hexagonal front grille, re-profiled headlamps and a new front bumper housing with redesigned set of fog lamps. However, what's new is the TitanumS trim that will probably be positioned above all the variants. The most evident variance includes larger 17-inch alloy wheels with a new design pattern and grey finish. The other changes might include a blackened grille and black inserts for the headlamp cluster.

The new spyshots also reveal the reworked cabin that gets an all-black treatment with orange highlights all over including the door trims. There's a new floating touchscreen system for the SNYC 3 enabled infotainment setup on the redesigned centre console. The instrument cluster is also revised with a simpler setup along with a MID placed between the tachometer and speedometer. The steering wheel gets additional buttons and there are two USB ports below the air-con controls.

There are some changes made to the powertrain as well. The existing 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol mill will be replaced by a new three-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol unit from the brand’s Dragon series. This engine produces 121bhp of power and 150Nm of peak torque. The existing 1.5-litre TDCi diesel motor will continue with the five-speed manual gearbox offered as standard.

The upcoming Ford EcoSport will sport the first major facelift since its launch in India in 2013. We can expect bookings to commence soon as the carmaker launches the car on 9 November.
