TVS Motor Company seems set to pull off the curtains from its much hyped daily commuter, Phoenix 125, in the Indian auto industry. Reportedly, the bike will sparkle at the Indian showrooms on September 28, 2012, which will surely create a buzz in the market. With the launch of a new bike in the market, the company aims to earn back its lost share and hold control over its constantly declining sales figures.

TVS Phoenix 125 shares a close resemblance with the Radeon concept, which was showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, organised in January 2012. Industry experts believe that the new model has borrowed looks from its cousin Star City, which also has the similar curves. The auto maker has provided an all black treatment to the engine and suspensions of the Phoenix 125, which add to the overall looks of the model. Additional features like six spoke black alloy wheels, aeroplane inspired decals, LED tail lights, petal front disc and digital front console appears to be the USP of the upcoming launch.

Considering the technical specifications of the Phoenix 125, the bike will be assimilated with a air-cooled engine, which will have a displacement of 124.8 cc. Reportedly, the powertrain of Phoenix 125 will have the potential to belt out a maximum a power of 10 bhp with a highest torque of 10 Nm. Although the bike will be placed in the small segment, its output seems enticing.

According to sources, the entire package will be priced around Rs. 55,000, which seems to be a good deal from the end of TVS Motors in India. The bike is expected to target those class of buyers who have daily commuting needs and are seeking a fuel efficient mode of transport.
