The launch of the TVS Apache RTR has been due for a while and now it seems that the global launch of this bike will happen in Indonesian on 20th of January. The TVS Apache RTR has been spied close up and this shows that the new Apache RTR 200 will get Pirelli tyres.
The use of Pirelli tyres is on the rise on Indian bikes and Mahindra Mojo is one of the first to use it in this price bracket. There is no confirmation from TVS on this, but it could be possible that TVS might be offering these tyres as an upgrade on the existing range of tyres. The KTM Duke 200 could also be getting these same tyres at a later stage as well.
There is no clarity on the powertrain specs of the Apache RTR 200, but it should be producing about 25-27bhp of power and will come with a six-speed transmission. The top-of-the-line variant is likely to get dual-channel ABS, while standard features on the bike will be LED tail lamps, fuel tank with extensions, digital instrument cluster, newly designed exhaust canister. The pricing of this bike should be about Rs 1.25-1.35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The other new products from TVS will be the Draken and the Victor.
