Triumph has launched their flagship product from the Tiger range for the Indian market at Rs 18.75 lakh. Called the Tiger Explorer, we will get it in just one variant, the XCx, but it delivers more value than before.

Triumph launches Tiger Explorer at Rs 1875 lakh

The Triumph Tiger Explorer is one of the big boys, with its three-cylinder engine displacing 1215cc and putting out 137bhp and 123Nm via shaft drive to the wheel. It has a full electronics suite as well, with a six-axis IMU tying together traction control, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire throttle and you even get semi-active suspension from WP - yes, the same company who makes suspension for KTM. The adjustable windscreen is electrically adjustable, and a number of things like hard luggage, knuckle protectors, an engine guard and crash protectors are on the options list.

That price seems a little high, considering that it places it higher than both the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro as well as the leader of the segment, the BMW R1200 GS Adventure. However, the Tiger brand is a very strong one, and the sales figures should be able to reflect the company's faith in it. The Tiger Explorer XCx is open for bookings immediately.
