      Toyota Yaris debuts in India for Rs 8.75 lakhs

      Ahead of its official launch in May 2018, Toyota India has announced the prices for the much awaited Yaris sedan. The Yaris carries an introductory starting price of Rs 8.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, all India). The vehicle will be available in four variants – J, G, V and VX; and will be available in manual and CVT transmission options. Bookings for the vehicle have commenced at a token amount of Rs 50,000.

      Speaking of features, the Toyota Yaris gets LED line guide headlamps and tail lamps, waterfall design instrumental panel and piano black interior. Focused at comfort for the occupants, the sedan comes with a high solar energy absorbing (HSEA), IR cut, acoustic and vibration control glass for windshield and doors for a quieter cabin. The sedan also offers electric driver’s seat, roof mounted air vents with ambient illumination for rear passengers and hand /air gesture controlled infotainment system with Touch Screen Navigation among other features.

      Mechanically, the Toyota Yaris is powered by a 1.5-litre VVTi petrol engine that comes mated to a six-speed manual and a seven-speed automatic option. Speaking of safety, the Yaris gets seven SRS airbags (SRS D+P airbags, SRS side airbags, SRS Curtain Shield Airbags (CSA) and SRS knee airbag), ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, Vehicle stability control, front and rear parking sensors and disc brakes all around.

      VX - Rs 12.85 lakhs (MT) / Rs 14,07 lakhs (CVT)
