Toyota is looking at making safe cars for the Indian car market, as the Japanese automaker is now providing dual airbags as a standard feature on all its vehicles. It will even have ABS as a standard feature in the coming years. The new generation of Toyota vehicles will have these features in-built and even the smaller vehicles that Toyota will be introducing will be safe, fuel-efficient and have looker emissions.Toyota Innova - Top MUV In India Under Rs.12 Lakh

"We don't want to ... just introduce a price-competitive car," said Naomi Ishii, Managing Director at Toyota Kirloskar. "In case we introduce a smaller car, it should have very advanced features in safety, fuel efficiency and exhaust emissions. The price might be higher, but we can show this is the direction."

The Toyota brand has planned two new launches in the next three years. The new Innova and the new Fortuner will be making their way into the Indian car market. The Innova will be more expensive and will be a lot more premium too. The new Fortuner will be a lot more fuel-efficient and faster. Both the Innova and the Fortuner will be offered with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

The Toyota brand is looking at adding new premium vehicles to its portfolio. It didn’t achieve the success it desired with the smaller vehicles like the Etios range. There is also a new premium sedan and compact SUV that form the part of the Toyota plan and these will be making their way into the Indian car market soon. Toyota wants to continue as a premium player that will focus more of safety of its passengers by manufacturing quality products.
