The Toyota Corolla Altis facelift has been spotted in Turkey. The car is seen in its production form for the first time after it was officially revealed through images recently.

The refreshed Corolla Altis gets a cosmetic makeover setting it apart from its predecessor. These revisions include reworked headlamps with DRLs, new grille and a revised bumper sporting a different air dam in the front. The side profile boasts of a new pattern for the 16- as well as 17-inch alloy wheels. A redesigned tail lamp with a chrome strip can be seen at the back.

The interior is also expected to be upgraded even if the details have not yet been revealed. Reports suggest that the Corolla will feature technological updates like Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB).

The current engine line-up is expected to be carried over in the latest iteration of the Corolla. The petrol version is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol mill with VVT-i that churns out 138bhp of power and 173Nm of torque. The oil-burner packs a four-cylinder 1.4-litre diesel engine that pumps out 88.4bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. On the transmission front, these engine options come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

For the European market, this Toyota Corolla facelift will be produced in Turkey. It might be soon launched globally, but will come to the Indian market sometime next year only. It will then compete with the Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta, Chevrolet Cruze and Hyundai Elantra in the D-segment of cars in our country.
