Toyota announced its sales figures for February 2018, with a total of 12,705 vehicles sold as against 12,113 cars sold last year. This shows a hike of 4.88 per cent.
The carmaker's domestic sales also show an increment of three per cent with 11,864 cars sold last month as compared to 11,543 units sold in February 2017. Furthermore, a substantial rise in exports is also seen with the company exporting 841 units of the Etios series last month. This is 48 per cent more than the 570 units sold overseas in February 2017.
The carmaker also sees a good start to the new year with a cumulative growth of 11 per cent in Jan-Feb 2018. Toyota is also expecting a boost in the sales numbers with the launch of the upcoming Yaris sedan. It was exhibited at the recent Auto Expo and is scheduled to GO on sale in May 2018.
